Reindeer Workshop Watch as Dancer, Blitzen, and the rest of Santa’s reindeer sing along as elves prepare presents for the sleigh. Rudolph is available for pictures and children will be able to take along a bag of “reindeer chow” to leave out on Christmas Eve. This display is located in the windows of Key Bank, along Fountain Avenue. |
SantaLand This magical world, which winds through the temporary exhibit space on the 2nd Floor of the Heritage Center, features a child-friendly and miniaturized version of familiar sights from around Springfield. Life-like friends frolic in the snow, ice skate, decorate and dance. Santa will be waiting to hear Christmas wishes from 12:00 – 4:00 PM every Saturday in December before Christmas. Parents are welcome to bring their own cameras to record these precious memories as a professional photographer will not be available. Read More |
Vintage Christmas Village This two-room display, housed in the old Meek’s building, is filled with animatronic settings and characters from the holiday display windows of Lord & Taylor’s Department Store in Manhattan and Marshall Field’s in Chicago, circa 1940s.
